The City

New York city lights

Dance brightly

Through the hustle

And bustle

Of the City’s

Streets and Avenues.

Cars honk

And tires squeal

As shoppers and city patrons

Scurry about

Like busy ants

On various errands.

Outside hotel rooms,

Fluorescent blinks

Of neon signs

Keep weary travelers

Awake

Till wee hours

Of the morning.
