Writing Exercise 2

Writing Exercise 2

Write about your favorite kind of weather. Where was it? Did you run for cover or did you relish in it? What effect did it have on the environment? What kinds of emotions do you associate with it?

After you have written your poem/paragraph or short-short story, please feel free to share it with me, by leaving it in the comments. Thanx!

  1. Afterwards

The morning after the rain comes down
When daybreak comes, the sun lies low.
The air is clear. I head outside
To feel the gentle breezes blow.

The world still sleeps. The solitude
Is filled with whispers of the trees
I close my eyes. I’m listening
As time and place begin to freeze

Into a vision in my mind
That slowly forms into a poem
So I can take this morning gift
To watch again when I get home.
