If this poem was set to music
Would you be enthusiastic,
Or would it be a one-hit-wonder
Full of thunder
But no follow thru
From anything new?
I try to make it special
Instead of dreadful,
But the public is fickle,
It puts me in a pickle
As I try to entertain
And not to be distained,
I hope you like it.

Songs are just poems put to music. Listen to the lyrics. Savour the emotions behind the words as they blend with the notes of the song. So much can be said in so little time. The beat makes the feet move and then people learn the words and sing along. There is freedom in a poem. So much can be said. Words are an artform. Everybody uses them. The poet crafts them into meaningful expressions, which the listener hears and interprets. Music makes the words speak louder, and the whole world listens to music. So sing your song. Don’t be shy. You’ve got so much to say. People will listen.
This one really speaks to me in the best possible way. I love it.
