Valentine’s Song

Little hearts

And paper flowers,

Express my love,

At every hour.

In the park

And arm in arm

We stroll serenly,

Till evening’s charm.

The sunset’s tint,

Of pink hues

Make the day’s end,

One to choose.

And if love is

A foolish thing,

Then I would want

A song to sing.

A song of peace

And happiness

That listeners would

Surely feel blessed.

So, lend a heart

And an ear besides,

And try not to think

Of woe-betides.

Life is too short,

And goes by too fast,

Remember fondly the loves

From the past.

Today’s happiness

Abounds with care,

And my love for you,

Fits like a pair.

And so, I say

Things are good

And so are we

As right it should.

So, with little hearts

And paper flowers,

I express my love

Through all the hours.

Valentine’s Day is more than just romantic love. There is family-love, and friend-love, and fur-love, as well as, self-love. It is important to open your hearts to the love that surrounds you every day. The Great Spirit loves you, too, showing its Great Love through the sunrises and the sunsets of plain-everyday-type-days. Love is also in the birds as they find their mates and build their nests for their soon-to-be young ones. And as the snow caps melt from a cold winter, the fresh young shoots of new little plants start to make an appearance in amongst the branches and twigs left over from last year. Yes Nature is full of love. I am so grateful! May you feel blessed be Life’s Grace.
